Overstim

Privacy

Short version: what you write stays on your device. Nobody else can read it, not even the people who make Overstim.

What stays on your device

What is counted

To learn what helps, the app sends anonymous counts of actions, such as "a dump was released", "an evening review was finished" or "the app was opened today, in its second week". Counts include your app language and whether it's installed. They never include anything you write, your name, an account or a device ID, and no cookies are used. Counting is done with Umami, and site visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, both without cookies.

You can turn the counts off any time: Settings, then Privacy, then untick "Share anonymous counts". The app also respects your browser's Do Not Track setting.

Optional: personal reframes by Claude

The Prism works fully on your device. If you choose, you can tick "Personal reframe by Claude" for a single thought. Only then is that one thought sent, together with the kind of help you picked, the feeling and life area the app sensed, a short list of suggested approaches, a random device ID (not linked to you), and your Plus license key if you have one.

Overstim Plus

Plus is sold by Lemon Squeezy, which handles payment and tax. Overstim never sees your card. There's no account: you get a license key by email and paste it into Settings. One key works on up to 3 phones. Overstim's server briefly remembers whether a key is valid (up to 6 hours).

Feedback

If you send feedback through the form in Settings, you choose what to write there. Please don't include anything private.

Changes

If anything else ever needs to leave your device, it will be opt-in, explained in the app first, and listed on this page.
